Welcome to the Boudoir

Things are finally getting done around here!  I've been really busy lately with school two nights a week and all the homework that comes with it, a full-time job, a part-time job, and having landlord duties to attend to.  But today I finally made progress on my master bedroom!  In fact, so much got done that it's finally starting to look less like a bedroom and more like a "boudoir."  I had to outsource some help for this, though.  This allowed me to not only get work done on my bedroom but also in a few other areas of the house as well.  A friend of a friend who builds homes came over to help me with a few things.  Today, he unclogged the drain in front of the tenant's entrance (which should once and for all stop the periodic flooding of my basement), wallpapered my bedroom wall, painted the wall going up the stairs, and put a medallion up on my ceiling then re-installed the chandelier.  After he left, I painted the fireplace in my bedroom black.  I'm so happy with how everything turned out!  Tomorrow he's coming back to remove a bit of wall from under the stairs and re-drywall so that I stop hitting my head on it when I walk down to the basement to do laundry.  He's also going to help me paint my kitchen and sand my stairs.  I'll be glad to start work on my stairs, it's been so long since I pulled the carpet up...remember this post?

I'll post better pictures of my master bedroom once it is completely done, but for now, here are a couple of shots taken pre-cleanup:
