Chic Workspaces

I've been trying to turn the small, third bedroom of my house into a home office for over a year now but I've been focused on other areas of my house that needed a makeover even more desperately that my attention was pulled away.  Not to mention, it's so easy to just settle down with my laptop anywhere else in the house that it's been difficult finding the motivation to finish my office, regardless of my other projects.  I'm partly not motivated to work on this room because in the last year it's sort of become a storage room so I need to do some major reorganizing before I can get to any decorating.  While I'm working on that, here are some workspaces and home offices that are perking up my motivation to start decorating my own.

I love how clean and bright this space is, and isn't this the perfect shade of grey?

Another grey and white room.  In this room, it's all about the white lacquered parsons desk from West Elm - I've in fact already got my eye on their console table in the same finish for my entryway.

Here I like what they've done with the expanse of wall above the couch - created an inspiration board for posting ideas to, which in itself becomes the artwork in the room:

Excellent use of a bay window - a built-in desk is a great way to save space.  And those chairs!  Love!

And now to pull a complete 180° on you...this black and gold office with graphic shapes is quite eye-catching:

...And now we're back to light-filled, neutral spaces:

The exposed-brick wall in this workspace gives it a casual rustic vibe, while the white furniture and gold accents give it some feminine glam:

I seem to be leaning towards white furniture.  That's likely what I'll end up with.  The walls in the room that I will be turning into my home office are already painted purple, and I feel like I've got about 90% of the room already decorated in my head so hopefully I'll find some time to get to work on it and share some photos with you soon.
